At TYR, we make all our own decisions. We don’t outsource due diligence or decision making to external lawyers. We don’t have cumbersome internal approvals processes. We do have vast experience and we draw upon that to make timely decisions.

We listen to the individual circumstances, objectives and risk tolerances of the parties that approach us and then engage to find transaction structures and deal terms that work best for the parties. We have undertaken many investments on innovative deal terms.

We partner with the parties to whom we provide capital and their legal advisors. Part of a partnership is getting along and working together comfortably. We won’t transact if we aren’t satisfied about the future working relationship with all parties. We do not interfere in the day to day conduct of the litigation or arbitration case to which we provide capital.

TYR keeps all commitments it makes. From experience, we know that most cases have difficulties from time to time. From experience we also know that those difficulties need to be managed. We are comfortable managing difficulties and do so in a way that preserves and often improves our relationships with our partners and their lawyers.

We seek to build long term relationships with the corporates, business owners and institutions to whom we provide capital and the law firms that act for them. Tyr does not fund class actions. Tyr only funds commercial disputes.
